Canada Canadian IMG moving to USA

Hello fellow IMG's.
I am an old IMG, grad 1998(from EU). I am 40y/old.
I have been living and working (as a physician's assistant and a nursing supervisor) for 9 years in Canada, in an IM/diabetes/obesity clinic.
My husband accepted an offer of employment in Phoenix ,and we are moving soon,he is a registered nurse.
I have been working pretty much hands on all this years, albeit more as a nurse. I can get great LoR's ,from CND physicians and PD's here.
Passed CND exams, but the conditions for residency here are ridiculous, so never attempted...
Should I bother with USMLE at all? With hard work I can get good scores, but is that enough ,and does CND clinical experience count for anything, or maybe it's better to find work in US first?
Anyone in the same chowder? Thanks, eh?

Thumbs Up Yes you can

Yes, certainly.

Your Canadian experience is regarded highly in USA.

I encourage you to kick off your USMLE prep and you can get into residency training here in USA in no time.

Thank you Step Taker!
Your response is very encouraging. I guess I will be hitting the books and polish my resume. I did pass all Canadian licensing exams, should I state that in my resume as well? Does it matter? Sorry if I sound blond, but I have never considered US for residency until now.....

Thumbs Up Yes mention it

Yes, definitely any academic performance has to be mentioned in the resume.

Stuff like Canadian licensing exams, MRCP, and the like are smiled upon when people see your CV here in USA.

The fact that they are not recognized for licensing purposes does not take away their academic value.
