Default clinical research or step 3?

what will be good at this time, doing a clinical research in a prestigious university hospital, or doing step 3??
IMG 2012, step 1 242, ck 248, cs pass, no visa required.

research off course, step 3 u can do it any time, research in the other hand will benefit u in ur match and in fellowship

Research is useful only in case it gets published and it helps you most when you apply to university based programs. Still, I think research will add more to your application than Step 3.
