Default Cut off Years of Graduation for Residency in Texas!

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell me about the cut off years of graduation for getting residency in Texas? Is that true they don't select those IMGs for residency who have been graduated for more than 5 years?

Thanks for the reply. Can you kindly elaborate which programs allow more than 5 years of graduation to apply for residency?

Go to FREIDA, see the programs available then check their websites to see their requirements. There are also information about each program available on FREIDA. Each program is different but many have the 5-year cut off

So if I want to become an Interventional cardiologist, I first have to complete 4 years of training (1 year of IM and 3 years of cardiology) and then apply for fellowship in interventional cardiology right?

I guess you have to do 3 years IM residency first and only then you can go to cardiology.

You are right. I didn't get the response so I checked it myself. Basically 3 years of IM first, then 3 years of fellowship in cardiology, then 1 year of fellowship in interventional cardiology.
