You have great credentials in my opinion. Why couldnt you match past year?? Are those USCE and observerships from this year?

You can also get MSPE and a letter from the chairman of medicine from your university, or maybe from one of those programs you have been attending.

Also, to what specialty did you apply and to how many programs? The more you apply to, the better chances to get in

I highly appreciate your response.
Yes, the previous lors were the ones I got last year, one of them was waived. I had the mspe and deans letter of my medical school.
I applied in internal medicine in 120 programs and 50 programs of family medicine.
I needed the sponsorship last year, that could be one of the reasons I can think of, for not being matched. Also I don't have any research or publication.
I got just one interview last year. Hopefully things will be better this year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Your credentials aren't the problem. Something else went wrong. I'd guess that either your personal statement wasn't great or one or more of your letters were worse than you thought. Or maybe you haven't worked for 4 years. There's something missing here. This year, if I were you, I'd reevaluate all of those and reapply.
The more worrying thing is that you're just telling us the good parts of your application and looking for reassurance. If you're intelligent enough to get a 238, you're intelligent enough to know that all the credentials you just gave us aren't the problem.

As they say if its not working then you're doing it wrong, whatever you did last year dont repeat it, meaning rewrite your personal statement, apply broadly, try to contact your references to write you a STRONG LOR if they already did ask them if they can contact their known colleagues in various programs (save this option when your not receiving any invites), give your ERAS application to multiple folks for their revision , my whole point up to now is obvious dont repeat the same strategy.

Thanks a lot guys. I highly appreciate your respose.
And yeah NAC ATTACK your response was very thought provocating so I looked back at my application and got to know that my eras application was not very well excecuted. That seemed awful..
Well I think I will be doing better this time.
Just writing tonight as I want all the applicants to pay attention to eras application.
It is the bird's eye view of YOU....don't take it lightly.
I knew lors and personal statement counts..scores count a lot...
I put my all energy in there...But.....
I am sorry for replying late...but even if single applicant will benefit from this then I will be more than happy.
Regards.
And thanks once again to all buds out there..
GL TO ALL
