Question Can i get cardiothoracic or neurosurgery with 249?

I will be taking a residency in either of them in my home country "Egypt", can i compete for a residency in US? Please i want a crucial answer because i am about to decide what residency i'll start here to correlate it with my USMLE step 1 score and my chances in US. Thanks in advance :-)

You need to take the boards first

If you get a 250+, with good US LoRs and such, you might have a 5% chance.

Its tough!

Id go for the residency in Egypt!

I'll work harder to get a higher score in step 2, i mean i will get a residency here and it'll gimme clinical experience, with LoRs and research, what do u think? still so tough?? i mean specifically cardiothoracic.
