Warning! Help!!! Not ECFMG Certified by Sept 15.

Hello, please help me here:
Step 1: 210. Step 2CK: 205. Step 2CS: passed. Everything first attempt.
3 US LORS. Right now doing research. 6 months observership.
Looking for IM residency.

The problem is that my medical school did not send the last papers to ECFMG and the will send it on Sept 20, so I will not be ECFMG certified by Sept 15, I will be certified like in Oct 15 or something like that.

Should I apply anyway? What do you guys think? Should I wait for the next match?

Please help me here.

Thanks.

How do you know you'll be certified on the exact date of Oct 15th?

No, I really don't know that, it is just an estimate, But the main point here is if I should apply this year or wait for the next match.?

What do u think?

if your school sends it to them on 20th sept as you said... and lets say the stars line up just right and it gets in the time its suppose to.. (as per your calculations Oct 15) but i think it could be way earlier... I think you should go for the match this year. Considering your "Oct 15th" scenario, you'll have a delay of 30 days since the applications open... Sept 15th. Do you really think you want to waste 365 days because you were 30 days late with your application. At the end it will be your call... and thats the only thing that matters.

After they received the last papers it could take from 6 to 8 weeks to be verify, and after that they said within 2 weeks the send the ECFMG certificate. What I don't know is if you are ECFMG certified when they send you the Certificate or before that.

What do you think?

http://www.ecfmg.org/2014ib/ecfmg-certificate.html

Check this out. It says that the certificates are sent 2 weeks after requirements are met. I can't find anything related to 6-8 weeks. Did I misunderstand something? Pls clarify, if possible

To help you guys out..

I sent my Degree and form 344, 345 to ECFMG 2.5 weeks ago. They received it 4 days ago and sent me an email saying my med school has to verify the credentials. I assume once my school does that it will take max 10 days to be verified by ECFMG. I heard from people that this process takes 3-4 months, but I think now I will be certified by September 15th.
