Default Few Questions about LOR

I had done an observership few months back in a county hospital and the doctor has agreed to write me a LOR. I opt for it to be unwaived.
I am not sure if he prefers for me to upload it myself or he will be ok uploading it .He is a busy doctor and don't want to send him emails asking him unnecessary questions.

1) Do I have to finalize the author in the LoRP before I can send out the "Letter Request form" to the doctor ?
2) If I send him the Letter request form but he instead prefers to hand over the letter to me ; would it be an issue that I already finalized him on LoRP but am finally uploading myself instead of him ?
3) Is there any advantage to uploading an unwaived LOR from OASIS vs.LoRP . Confused about why 2 options for the same thing .

I am confused about the process . Please help !

1) you cannot send request without finalizing.
2) finalize new one and check no for waiving your right and ignore the first. 3) they are the same

Is it mandatory to send out a Letter Request form through LoRP ? What I am trying to understand is if this is a necessary step in the whole LOR process ? Can I just email / communicate with the LOR author directly if he is going to hand over the letter for me to upload ?
My apologies for some very obvious or silly questions. Would appreciate your help.

I was just like you ,, and I didn't understand the process until I finalized the first author ,,, to cut it in short you have 2 options ; if you waive then after you finalize you will print the request form and give it to your author and he'll create his own account in the aamc and will upload it for you ,, and if you don't waive then you will do the same process yourself
