Certificate IM Lor to apply for IM and FM Backup!

I need some help....I will get my letters from 3 US physicians....all are internal medicine specialists and they will write the letters for my IM aplication; in the same time I wanna apply for family medicine but I don't have other LoR's and I wanna use the same one's for FM; my question: I have to add each author for my IM LoR and on ERAS they ask me for which specialty that specific author will writte the letter. I choose IM and the question is: can I use this letter for the FM specialty? or maybe somebody can give some details on how to do this kind of things......please guys, I really need help. Thanks to anybody who's willing to clear this for me!

Hi, ask the LOR writers not to recommend you to a specific specialty, otherwise you will be able to apply only to that specific one with this LOR. Although you may use them for FM but this might be risky as PDs will know that you are applying to FM as backup.
