It's super slow at the moment. Each page takes like 2-3 minutes to load.

I have problems logging in. Hope that it will become better during the course of the day.
Anyway, applying an hour or more later is not a big deal. It is important to have the application done by the end of the day.

I dont see why we should be paying all this money for a service which has clearly failed. If I cant apply to programs by mid-day ill definately be asking for a refund.

What an epic fail by ERAS. They knew the exact number of people who were registered with them, and should have realistically planned for every one of those people to be using the system simultaneously over the past 24h.

Last year 40,335 applied, each paying at least $100 if not much much more.

well over $4m in one year and they cant get their servers in shape??

Honestly, I think this is the first time something like this happened..It takes time to fix technical issues like this..at least they are notifying the programs.

Makes me wonder if something else is going on. There's no way they could have been caught by surprise by the high amount of students going to apply on this day. That would just be incompetent. Then again, who knows. This is the problem with data this day and age, and I'm getting more and more furious every time it says my application is not available.

To be fair to all,they better hold the services until everything is perfectly alright.
I must say how irresponsible ERAS is. Y don't they have some one on such a crucial weekend so that nothing goes wrong at the time of application. VERY BAD

so annoying, I managed to submit my application after an hour of getting kicked off website. Now can not assign lors to programs, all I get is Your application you are trying to reach is not available at this time. I hope sending out our application a day or 2 late doesn't affect our chances for certain programs

i applied and paid for my selected program. it says "payment is already precessed! do not click the browser's back button(code 1545)".

but when i check the applied prog it says: you applied to 0 program.
and still i haven't got any payment receipt!
any similar problem?

I had the exact same problem. Don't know what to do now. I am trying to go to the invoice section but it's impossible....should we try to pay again?

I had the same problem..But my transaction went through..It appeared in the invoice history..If you still can't find it, check your credit card account.If that doesn't work, try to pay again..If your previous transaction was successful, it notifies you that you had already paid for the programs.

tks i'm trying to check the invoce the credit card belongs to my brother and i can't contact him right now lol... i'll have to refresh my life away in ERAS apparently.

To the people who were successful, did you:
-receive a confirmation email?
-the number of "Programs applied" changed instantly from 0 to a number?

I received a confirmation e mail about 10-15 mins later..But when i tried to pay for the programs again (before I got the email), the website didn't let me pay and clearly it said, "Payment is already processed"

I had the similar problem. ? I called eras and after 30 min of waiting they said I haven't paid yet and asked me to repay

$100 per application. 40,000+ applicants (Last year stats)... That's 4 mill... and yeh, lol i dont think they have any intentions of giving up that kind of money, or anybody for that matter.

Best anyone can do right now is... wait for it to be fixed, and apply when its up and running. Nobody's application is running off to anywhere, and never to be seen again. No program director is sitting behind his computer waiting for ERAS to be up and running. Chances are they probably wont even bother with it today even if does get fixed today.

If it is work you are at right now, just work. If its a clinical rotation you are at, just carry on. If you've got nothing, go back to sleep.

I started having a headache waiting for this so decided to sleep. 3 hours later, its still the same crap!!! When I try to add programs, I keep getting the loading circle and then it says "Sorry the application you're trying to reach is unavailable" .. or something along those lines.

I was however able to sign up for NRMP and update that in my profile and submit my application (not apply to programs yet). Did you guys do that? May be you should do that in the mean time!

Seriously they should be sued for this negligence. This is the height of irresponsibility. On top of it look at these lazy people, not even updating on twitter. last update was 3 hours ago whereas here we are sitting refreshing the page every 2 mins..

In the meantime while your waiting, you can submit your ERAS application. You have to submit your ERAS application before 'applying to programs' anyway so jump on it!

Otherwise yes I think we are all stuck on the programs button problem
