Default what's the big deal?

ok i understand it's a waste of time since myeras2015 is not working but why is everyone talking about being safe or not? i mean does it matter you apply at 9am or 12pm or 3pm? is it like a first come first serve thing that i failed to comprehend? i knew that applying later is a problem if you apply more than a week later because some programs start downloading app in a few days. but what's the big deal with getting late by a few hours especially since 98% people have not been able to apply yet. are those 2% who did get through are at an advantage and does this mean they'll match but rest of us won't? somebody make me understand this!

Man.. no big deal

I don't even think applying after week or two is considered late!!

But this is case in the forums for the whole residency applications starting from USMLE until the ERAS applications, people make big deal of everything.

So true! So over dramatic. People need to calm down, relax as this is just the beginning. Applying within the first ten days is NO DIFFERENCE. Late applications are considered after sept 25. So again I don't see what the rush is and what the big deal is. If you are a well rounded candidate and applicant you'll get the interviews you get with or without applying on the first day
