Default chance of matching, please help

Hello,

IMG from a Caribbean school here (US citizen). 241 step 1, passed step 2 cs, but step 2 ck was 211 due to family issues that occurred that week. solid grades as well. applied to IM with 150 programs, most mid-low tier. what are my chances of matching? I got one invite before my step 2 score and since I released the step 2 score I only got 2 rejections. Thank you.

Look on the internal medicine match thread for this years 2014/15 match and compare your stats to the rest who are getting ivs. You passed your ck plus your american!! All you need is one iv to match

well the barely passing step 2 ck is causing me anxiety, thats a pretty reasonable concern i am sure, 1 invite doesn't = match.

Dude, you're fine. A lot of us on this forum have no visa, no interviews, and a message box full of rejections. Stop fretting, because the people you are asking for advice are in a much less fortunate position, and we are sitting here waiting too.

@lostinthoughts
We are mostly in the same situation, I have a low score in step 1 due to family issues, applied for IM and FM, so far got one IM IV. I'm an anxious as well.
I will do my best in this IV so the program can rank me on the top of the list, I suggest you do the same.
Nothing we can do further, but wait and pray. Nobody can anticipate how this match is gonna go.

Good luck to all of you.

You'll be okay. Be patient. You are a citizen, less hassle for the Program Directors. They don't have to pay a lawyer to deal with your immigration case, and they don't have the risk of you being rejected by the USCIS.

There are thousands of IMG's that need Visa's... they are not as attractive as citizens.

Lucky you!
