Embarrassed 2006 MBBS, do I have a chane

I completed final MBBS in 2006...however managed to complete my internship in 2010 yes that's true, people do double takes....a lot of things happened my father had a sudden cardiac death, property disputes, litigation....i managed to keep my mbbs record clean but these things dragged me down...my academic record is good. but the time from passing to completing my internship is riddled with buckshot on my CV.
I am totally committed to going ahead ...i bought my 1st mle book 5 days into 1st year..BUT do i stand even a fighting chance? even a sliver of a chance, because the CV is complicated in this strange manner..
please help me

Thumbs Up Yes you can

Yes, you have a chance.

Thousands of old grads and those with CV gaps were able to get into residency. You can read threads related to Old Grads by clicking on the Old-Grads tag link at the bottom of this thread.

All you need is the following:
> High USMLE Scores.
> USCE (Observership or Externship or Research) in USA in the specialty you'll apply to.
> US letters of recommendation.
