Arrow Personal Statement length how to cut it short?

Hi Guys,
I have an important query. What should I do to keep my personal statement length under a page. I mean if I'm typing it in Microsoft Word in Courier 10 font, how much margin should I keep on sides, top and bottom to find out if my PS is actually one page..
Any help is highly appreciated.
