Default how to JUSTIFY a CS Second ATTEMPT ?????

Hey guys, what would be the best way to justify a second attempt during an interview??

I failed the CS just because of the CIS part. I guess I went too confident to the exam, but I don't think that's a good excuse. So far I have 3 interviews (all with contacts, I don't think I will be receiving anymore), and I woud not want to screw them because I was not able to justify a second attempt.

I would not dare to say it was because of lack of preparation, I don't want them to think I am not a hardworker.

I could say I was nervous, but then I think that would reflect inability to perform in stressful situations.

Another option would be to say that there are lots of "tricks" that most IMGs don't know about, mainly in terms of working with standardized patients (as far as I know most US grads work with SPs since their 1st year of med school)

Any ideas? suggestions??

I would recommend that you dont use that reason because it shows that you thought there's a difference between dealing with standardized patients vs real life patients in usa.
And lets face it, even though there is a difference, but you dont want to reveal that to you'd treat the real patients differently than the standardized patients of CS exam.

Your best bet in this situation is that during the interviews you make it evident that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relax, be yourself, and just have a conversation as you would with your friends.

I dont know which reason you can use here which wouldnt reflect a weakness. Sometimes justifying a failure with an excuse can be seen in a negative way as well. You're pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place.

P.S. definitely do not use the excuse of being "stoned" before or during the exam as a reason, Dr. Stoner.

Don't justify it, say you screwed up, you were devastated when you failed and you hope to never have that feeling again
