Default Interviewer only asked me one question

Weirdest interview I've had.

The guy is a senior faculty member so he's not new at this.

We said hi, he introduced himself and asked me if i had any questions right away.

I asked one questions and he answered in like 5 minutes... Then he started telling me why the program is so amazing for like 20 min (quote "now I'm going to tell you what I think is the best things about our program") ...

Now this is not a weak program at all, so I'm not sure if he wanted to convince me to join them or he just wasn't interested in what I had to say... He did 0% of the talking, probably more.

I don't know if I should have interrupted him and take the lead... What do you guys think?

Again this is a freaking University program, so as a lowly img I don't understand if this was good or bad?

I don't think so. If someone wants to sit there and talk the whole time, I just listen to them and nod and look interested. That has nothing to do with you.

In fact, a lot of the interviews I've had thus far have been mostly the interviewer talking. I only ask questions to follow up on whatever they said. Most interviews are really conversations, at least for EM and IM....
