Default CS preparation with Research

Hii!
I have taken up a research position in a US University for 1 year but unfortunately I still have CS to take. I was wondering if I can find time in between research work to appear and pass CS examination?? Has anybody done that in the past??
Thanks.

Don't even sweat about CS. I had full time job, two kids, one was a newborn at that time, and was able to take and pass with all of the components way above borderline. My prep time was 5 weeks in total. I did not take a single day off of work except for the exam itself. Was studying 5-8 pm on weekdays and for 3 weeks on Saturdays only. Last two weeks every day and full time on weekend. However you will need a good study partner. My partner was my husband, who is a native speaker and a good actor LOL.

Yes I did it.

I am doing a research year now and I did my CS exam in June, it took me 2 weeks to study for CS, usually I will practice FA cases from 6.00pm to 10.00pm with my study partner in weekdays, and in the weekend I would study from 12.00pm to 6.00pm.

Don' worry about it.
I cleared my CS while doing research. Just find a study partner and practice cases in evening and when ever you have time.
Also have all the synonyms at hand that will help you a lot in saving time during the actual CS exam.

All the best

I did my step 2 ck, CS and step 3 while doing research.
It was tough to manage but I had a very good study partner who was willing to study as per my time schedule.
I did score good so I think you can do it.

Best of luck

Well, there is no set formula for getting a research position as such. Just continue emailing Attendings with CV and keep fingers crossed that somebody replies in positive. It is like throwing a stone in the dark but it works. Hope it helps.
Good luck!!

Just keep messaging attending with your CV and also please read that attending work and see if you want to do it.
Express your intrest in their work and how you are intrested in it.
Some one will reply back

All the best
