Residency at 38
Hi everyone, I am a complete newbie here joining today only. I feel this is an excellent forum to get my doubts clear. Giving my introduction, I am a 38 year doc working as faculty of Clinical Microbiology of a Medical School in my country for last more then 10 years. Now I want to appear for USMLE with the ultimate aim of doing fellowship infectious disease/clinical Microbiology in USA.... you think my approach is right?.....I guess I will need to do residency in internal Medicine for 3 years and then again 3 years in fellowship etc etc..... Do I stand a chance considering my age and my work profile so far (worked in mainly clinical labs. teaching and research related fields....)
