Greetings!
My name is George Nagib, I am one of the Chief Residents of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, California. My co-chief Marcela Espinosa and I would like to invite all your Medical Students, Graduates and any person interested in learning more about Family Medicine and our program, to our 3rd Annual Open House that would be held on 9/17/11 from 9am to 2pm.
Here is a quick description of our program by our Program Director: Geoffrey Leung, MD, EdM.
"We are a 11-9-9 community-based program located in Southern California, 65 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and 85 miles north of San Diego. We are the only primary care residency program located in the hospital.
We are proud of our new, state-of-the-art 364 bed hospital that serves a very diverse patient population.
Our program was one of the first Family Medicine programs to be accredited in the state of California. We opened our doors to the first class in 1971.
The Family Medicine Residency Program provides excellent and diverse clinical experience. Since we are based at a county hospital, our residency program is able to provide training in a scope of practice that is broader and deeper than what is typically found in a university- or community-based hospital.
We are fortunate to have a core group of committed faculty who collectively contributes their expertise across the breadth of Family Medicine.
Our graduates practice in a variety of settings within and outside of California, ranging from community health centers and small-group practices to HMO-type settings and rural medicine sites.
The program is affiliated with UCLA and the UCR-UCLA Biomed Program.. We are excited that our hospital will be a major teaching site for the upcomming University of California Riverside School of Medicine."
If you are interested to attend please register (Registration is free and Lunch will be provided) at:

Sincerely,
Marcela Espinosa, MD and George Nagib, MD
