Question Match without step 2 ck

hi... i am an IMG.. graduated this year in march.. step1 99/230.. step 2 cs pass 1st attempt... elective and 2 american LORs.... and GREEN CARD... i plan to give my step 2 ck in november.... should i apply this year.... i am aiming for internal medicine...

Hi, your GC and excellent profile can give you much interviews this year if you applied widely, but you need to apply on September first whatever available scores, ERAS will update the programs with your CK later when it get resulted.

Yes, you can apply but I don't think you'll get more than one or two interviews at most.
The competition is very high.
There are thousands of GC people who passed all the steps and so they'll prefer them over you.
When you take the CK in November it will be too late and nobody sends for interview after November.
So your chances are much better next year, but this season I don't think you have much chances.
I am posting this just to be honest with you and not just giving you encouragement based on no solid grounds like others are doing.

community hospitals definitely u will have chance, universities less chance. but it depends u like risks or not!

u have 2 lor?? i have 2 lors too..dont know if i should apply or wait for a 3rd one, i also have my step 1 but my score will come in mid sept. and cs passed.. dont know if i should go for it or what
