Question Home country experience!

What if i spent 3-5 years of residency in general surgery at a university hospital in my country (Egypt), would that shorten my residency in US in case i proved competent and experienced?!

No it will not shorten your residency in the States. Some graduates from american universities abroad in IM and Peds may benifit from such shortening.

Would that increase my chances to get general surgery there?! What's required to get into general surgery there for an IMG? i got 99/249 in step 1

Yes, it would increase your chances.
Your Step 1 score is great.
You should probably get 5-10 surgery IVs.
Also don't forget to apply to surgery prelims
