Certificate HANDS ON IN externship LOR??

Hi
i did paid externship in one of the clinics in new york but the clinic manager and also the physician says that its better not to include hands on in LOR since it would be risky and unethical and my application would be thrown out.
he further adds to be eligible for hands on there are only two ways that is either u do the electives or you have done ur students rotations as an AMG!!
i feel so frustrated at this point that i paid such a huge ammout just to observe that too in clincs
please someone advice what should i do

You can't do anything about.

That doctor has to write an LoR for you, and if he's refusing to mention the hands-on then that's it, it's observership.

State of New York does allow history taking and physical examination by externs. In other words, externship is allowed. So there's no problem.
