Default Email from PD

I got an email from PD of the residency program where I interviewed one month back. He says that he considers me a very good candidate and valuable asset to his program. Does that really mean my probablity of matching there is high if I rank them among my top choices??? Thank you for your valuable suggestions.

Doesn't really mean anything to be honest its a habit of some programs to do so others choose not to.

Default Talk with PD

I recently saw the PD of one of the programs which I was interviewed in November and he told me he is thinking very high of me and the he asked me are you still interested in my program and I answered him yes, I will choose your program first in my ranking (I will rank this program as my first choice).
Since he is in a same university as I am doing research, do you think this is a very good sign? I am the only candidate who goes for their weekly seminars before and after my interview.
