Question When will they start sending interview invitations?

I guess most of us have applied to our programs .. And are now anxiously waiting for that mail...

So just wanted to ask any experienced person here if he knows by what time do the interview calls start coming, if they do??? ?I know they must be different for different programs, but generally speaking.......

It varies from specialty to specialty and from program to program and from year to year!

It all depends on their busy schedule and when they start looking at applicants.

Generally speaking, low profile programs (unwanted programs) start sending invitations early as they know that if they are late, people won't come to their interviews (as applicants have already got other interviews and so they won't be so eager for their interview).

The earliest interview invitation that I heard of last year was on September 10th.

However, the bulk of invitations (specially for IMGs) come during the period from last week of September to first week of November.

In most cases, the latest invitations are sent out in early November (talking about IMGs).
