Help Help guys need big time advice

hey guys need some advice

I took the usmle step 1 four times finally passed it on my 5th attempt (i know definitely not good) I am U.S med student btw. I am currently in the process of studying for step 2. I have yet to submit ERAS because i really don't want send the application without showing them another test score.
I am planning on taking the step in early October meaning i probably won't get my score back until late october. should i hold on submitting my ERAS until then? or should i submit eras as soon as a possible? what I'm afraid of is that without another grade to show them i will immediately thrown into do not consider pile (although you could argue i might be in that pile regardless). anybody have any advice? any recommendations.

Default Perhaps better to wait until you pass the CK

For US Med Students, PDs do not specifically look for the CK score. They usually look for Step 1 score only.

However, in your case, they might be looking for it as they want to make sure you can do it, as you have failed repeatedly in Step 1.

I suggest you delay your application until you get a passing CK score.

For US med students, the September deadline, does not apply. Because they usually wait until the MSPE which is released in November.

I'd also suggest, that you follow your ERAS application with direct communication with the programs (Phone calls and Emails), just to tell them "hey, am here, I just applied now".

Good luck
