Smile Medical school transcript vs diploma.

Please anyone help me to explain difference between medical school transcript and certified copy of medical diploma.

Medical school transcript is the "marks sheet".

Diploma is the certificate that specifies your date of graduation. It can be copied, translated (if not in English) and certified by medical school.

Thank you .. which one do I need to send for residency application ..
If it is translated within USA, do I need to get certified by medical school for that translated document ?
