Default Timing of Transcript - MSPE preparation to be filed September 2015 for 2016 match

Hi guys!
I am preparing all the documents needed for the match 2016. I will apply in September 2015.
I noticed that in the document list there are also:
- medical school transcript
- MSPE
I am IMG, and my school is partecipating in EMSWP ERAS. So the school should do it by it self right?
My question is...when should I tell my school to do it?I am coming back to my country in May 2015...is that a good time to talk with my school officers to do it?

Every school is different. Mine requires a formal request filed to the dean's office. I guess you can always meet the person in charge informally and then send the request comes mid June and ask them if they can complete it by July.

Schools can start to upload MSPE from July, as the ERAS season begins.

ok! on my ecfmg iphone app it is specified that my school is in the EMSWP ERAS system...does it mean that the school itself, after my request, will send both the MSPE and the transcript to ECFMG/ERAS?

Yep. If a school participates in EMSWP then only the school can upload. It's kind of better too since for school to upload, only takes 5 working days max to be visible on eras.

For applicants whose schools are not in EMSWP they have to upload it themselves and it can take up to 2weeks to have the file on their eras.

ok thanks a lot! To me it is weird that ERAS want again the transcript...isn't it the same transcript that we uploaded to ECFMG to apply for the steps/certification?

Yep. It's the same. Dunno why they ask for another one. Anyways, good luck for next match!
