When i started studying for the steps in 2011, there were only 2 people in my entire class of 120 that were anywhere close of taking Step 1.

Nowadays, the curriculum has changed a lot and students are taking Step 1 during the third year and CS and CK during the 4th year... so yeah, things are way harder now

Thank god im nearly over it haha

We make the best with what we got bro! You get good grades, you get good letters, and the sky is the limit.

Just realize you are fighting an uphill battle and plan ahead accordingly.

Match 2016 onwards will be particularly hard, in theory, due to some new rules. I think you will now be competing directly with DO students and all the new MDs from the new US medical school

Fresh, from "Caribbean schools" mostly. Although I didn't ask everyone, just a few people. 2013+ seemed to be the norm
