Default My chances to match to surgery

Low CK score 214 and CS attempt, what are my chances?! 249 on step 1, gonna take CS and step 3 soon, how many years of research do i need?!

How comfortable are you with the idea of doing another speciality?
is your goal limited to Surgery only?
or is it matching in the US regardless what field is the goal?
Not to sound pessimistic but try to apply broadly.

if you limit yourself to surgery, I think you need to get Step 3 ASAP, pass CS, do research with the intention of getting published, make sure u get strong LOR,

No sugar coating bro, your chances are VERY low but not 0. So unless you have strong connections or some stellar credentials in your CV, I don't think you will ever match to general surgery.

Psych isn't what you would expect as an easy ticket in, you got to show genuine interest in the field to receive invites, plus its all about communication which demands a certain level of fluency if you're not a native english speaker, with that being said the CS attempt might harm you in that fact.

its not about quantity, its about quality my friend 3 years of research is a waste if you're only doing Data entry.
