Default Help please...What happens if I apply on Sept 16th?!

Does it really affect my chances of getting interviews from good programs if I apply to internal medicine on Sept 16th or 17th instead of 15th?! I'm a FMG and my step 1 score is 245, passed cs in 1st attempt and my ck score will be released most probably on Sept 16th. I also have 3 LORs from US board certified physicians. My credentials are approved by ecfmg and I assume I'd be ecfmg certified as soon as I get my ck score.
In a word, does one to two day delay in application really matter?!

I don't think a day or two will make a significant difference. Now if was a couple weeks or more, then yes it could hinder your chances. Depending on ERAS software issues (this past year for example), programs may have a difficult time downloading applications when it first opens so it wouldn't matter for your scenario.

With regards to being ECFMG certified, you need to have graduated from a medical school, submit your diploma/transcript and then have it verified, from what I have been told, this can take about 4 weeks or longer depending on you and your school

Thank you Bully Ball... actually my diploma and transcript has already been verified by ecfmg and if everything goes well I'm hoping to be certified automatically. One of my friends had the similar situation and he received his certification just the day after he got his ck score last year. There is always possibility of delays and I'm hoping this is not the case for me. you're right though, it's always better to assume the worst.
