Question Want to do Cardiac Surgery

Hi...I am 2nd year medical student from PAKISTAN..
I wanted to pursue cardiac surgery as my career in USA..
What critical steps i must take from now TO MAKE MY DREAM comes true

..please guide me..

I am not an expert here but i think you should first study hard and do step 1 and ck with very high scores then go to usa and do cs exam and pass it from the first attempt then you need to get USCE
I think for 1 year (the longer the duration the more chances to get residency).....then get matched to general surgery (which is very competitive for IMGs and AMGs students)....then u can do cadiac surgery fellowship....

as you are still medical student you can go to usa during the college years for electives...as it is more easy than if you are post graduate....as i think the electives and the recommendation letters gives you more point in your cv later in your journey....anyway as i told i am not an expert here you can ask step taker or rasheed or others admins in this wonderful forum....
