You can apply with step 1 score only but the problem is that it's very unlikely you'll get interviews.

You need to have passed all steps and ECFMG certified in order to maximize your chances, the competition is tough and there are thousands others applying with full steps, so you come with step 1 score then you won't compete with them.

If i can add perspective... i applied with step 1 and CS scores... and had 3 invites from 76 applications... (i also have an MPH )... after my CK scores came out in November i received 2 more invitations. so it is possible..

You would have many more interviews if you were having all the steps by September. Also your MPH played a great role in getting those interviews.

yes Sabio, absolutely correct.. despite having 250+ on both my steps i managed just 5 ivs.. that too from not so good places. I might match this year but its making me feel terrible..i graduated 2007.. so might not stick around for another match... so its another very important point... one needs to choose what kind of match they want to have in the end.

well i did the same thing, applied with step 1 and cs, uploaded my ck score in mid nov and ended up with only 5 interviews, 4 before and 1 after the ck score.

My application otherwise is pretty decent, good scores(248/250), 2011 grad and 5 months USCE and indexed publications.

so timeline has a huge influence on the no. of interviews.
best to apply with all scores and certification.
