Question Children research then applying to IM!

Hi to everyone
Will a clinical research (prospective surveillance on bacterial meningitis under age group of five ) will be useful in getting me internal medicine residency. Will they consider it or will they be looking for research in that particular branch.

I'm really confused,

please reply me... soon,

It would be helpful indeed.

Research in the same specialty is awesome but research in another specialty is not bad either.
