Smile An IMG Radiologist Journey!

Hey guys,

I'm a Foreign Grad Radiologist. ECFMG certified step 1/2/ck: 240/244/pass
I do have some peer reviewd research in acceptable journals and 2 months observership in Canada.
Being a US permanent resident, I'm seeking a research position in a good center in US now.
I would go for both pathways of Radiology residency or fellowship if I have to, to get ABR certified!
I need your opinions of what I should do to get a better qualification for being accepted in residency or fellowship.

Thank you so much.

I also plan on being a radiologist and currently working on my step 1 score. Hopefully you can guide me in my future endeavours.
I wish you the best for radiology residency.
Cheers

Starting a research position is the way to go. Once you start that, you'll find your way into residency/fellowship in short time.

Making contacts in radiology thrugh research, observerships and fellowships is the key for getting a spot. GC, good scores and residency back home will make your mission more easier, but it will be always competitive, stay alert for any light of chance and don't give up, I have many applicants who match each year in radiology.

Goodluck

So can fellowship lead to a us licence?

I my self have the option to start radiology in Europe but I would rather do it in the States. I know its a long way with all the steps but that I'm not worried about

I would like to know if doing residency in the US is the only way to be licences in the US.

Regards
