Question What score should I aim for on Step 1 to get into Internal Medicine residency?

I'm no genius, so aiming for 240, 250 and all that is a bit overly ambitious for me.

What should I be aiming for on Step 1 to get into IM?

1st of all just work hard & get max score in step1 that is the basic thing to start journey in the world of usmle. after that many things decided for ur match & that is ur observership, ur year of grad, US LORs....
But i think just forget all this bull **** & concentrate on ur steps1 studies

By observership do you mean clinical rotations?
What factor does year of graduation play into it? I will be applying for residency about two years from now.
What is a LOR?

Sorry but i have no idea how this whole process works other than scoring well on step 1,
Thank you

There is no single factor alone that determine your eligibilty for IM but it is a combination of good score, visa things, observerships/ US LORs ( letters of recommendations)... I would advice you to do 2-3 observerships and try to score as high as possible on step1 .
