We actually have a blog post specifically comparing the percent of IMGs in the most IMG friendly programs. You can find it here:
http://www.matcharesident.com/blog/i...y-specialties/

When looking at specialties, there are a few things to bear in mind. First, look at the total amount of positions available, Neurology has fewer. Then see how many of those spots are filled by IMGs. Finally, you should look at the requirements for each specialty. Based on the 2014 Match, the average Step 1 Score for IM was 229 and Step 2 Score was 237. For Neurology, it was 226 for Step 1 and 232 for Step 2. There are also research, publications, work experiences and volunteer experiences to consider.

Try to weigh everything together before making your decision.
