Default Waived vs UNwaived LoR?

Hi,

So I have been shadowing two old doctors that had a hard time writing my letter in a word doc and asked me to upload it instead of them (they don't even have an account on AAMC). so I did, and they are unwaived, but I just heard that a waived letter weigh more than an unwaived one and I am concerned about mine now

Is that true that a waived letter is better? what should I do?

No issues at all. Is ok, many people do unwaived, all my letters were unwaived and I got matched

There are pros and cons to waiving your Letters of Recommendation (LoRs). A waived letter communicates to program directors that you are confident in the feedback of your supervisors.

Since you don't really have a choice, try not to worry about it too much. Being able to read your letters will help you aim them in the right direction. You can also take the feedback in them and use it to strengthen your Personal Statement.

If you get to interviews and it's appropriate to do so, you can mention why your letters were unwaived.
