Help Please advice ASAP

hi

I had taken a token for eras 2015 but used it just for uploads and did not eventually go into the Match. Now when I took the token for ERAS 2016, it calls me a reapplicant and gives me a choice to reuse LORs.
Query:

1) If I choose to reuse my LORs at the moment but later have a fresh one from one of these authors, can it be reuploaded as it can be done for freshly uploaded ones? Or does it mean once u select to reuse an LOR from a particular author, its final and no changes are allowed.

2) how much does it matter that the LORs are a year old? All my LORs are waived ones.

3) ERAS considers me a reapplicant as I took the token last year. But will NRMP also consider me a reapplicant although I never even registered at NRMP.

Any help as soon as possible will be highly appreciated. Waiting to hear from someone here...

Thank you in advance.

In order to answer your questions I will preface with this, the strongest Letters of Recommendation are:

1. Recent
2. Specialty specific
3. From US Clinical Experience

You want LoRs that reflect the current doctor you are now, your interest in a given specialty and prove that you have done hands on work in a US medical environment. That said, I will answer your questions directly.

1) You can always upload more LoRs to your MyERAS profile. However, after Sept. 15, if you have used the older LoRs to apply to a program, you will not be able to take them back/switch them out.

2) A year isn't too big of a difference, but if you have done fresh US clinical experience, you'll want LoRs from that too.

3) NRMP is on a annual basis so you will register with them as anyone else would (except for couples).

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for a reply. Well the LORs I am talking about are from the USCE I did, but they are not recent. So probably the content would remain same, not sure as that would depend on the author, but the date would be recent.
In that sense, is it still better?
Being waived ones, any risk if the author writes a fresh one now?

ERAS quotes this "once you have made your LOR selection to be transmitted to ERAS 2016 using OASIS, do NOT resubmit via LOR PORTAL. ERAS support will only reuse those LORs that have been selected."
Hence the confusion

Thanks again
