Default Step 3 score 218 - is it ok?

Hi,

It's my first post here. I did Step 3 because I didn't match last year but my grade (218) is significantly lower than the other steps. What do you think of this score? The mean score last year was 222.
My other scores were Step 1 244, Step 2CK 243, Step 2CS pass 1st attempt.
Plan on applying to IM again this year.
Many TIA.

I don't think the step 3 score matters so long as you pass. Your scores are good. How many interviews did you get last year if you don't mind me asking.

Thank you for the responses.
I need visa and I graduated in 2010.
I applied to 105 programs last year but I got my MSPE back from my med school really really late so I ended up with just 2 interviews.
I plan to have everything uploaded and ready on 9/15 this year so hopefully I'll have more invites this time around and finally match

Would the MSPE matter that much?

I don't know. That's the only major problem with my application that I can think of. I wonder if most of the prpgrams I applied to considered my application incomplete?!?!
I guess my PS and CV could have been better. I'm getting it professionally edited.
My USCE lacks hands on but when I applied last year, I had 3 months of observership and 6 months of research

So sorry for the delayed response.

Yes, I did. I applied on time with all of my docs completed except the MSPE.
I have to say though that my PS and CV weren't professionally edited and now that I looked at it, there were quite a few glaring grammatical and usage errors.

I am having my PS edited by Residency Personal Statements.

I found various editing services here:
