Fire Thread Late applicant, to apply or not?

Hey everyone.. need an honest suggestion.

So i have done my Ck and CS already but i'm left with step1 and i'm preparing for it. Aiming to write it by September/ October.
YOG is 2012 and i'm a US citizen yet an IMG.

i'm willing to apply for the match this year and take a chance for it.. i have the token already and everything else is set in my package apart from step1 and PS ( which is cooking).
I have 2 US LORs and 4 months USCE and rest from home institution and i'm also finishing off my maters in healthcare management.

Do you thing i should give it a go and apply for the match this year? Looking to apply for IM FM and Primary programs.. nothing fancy at all

how late can i sit for the exam and apply? submitting scores by Nov mid would i still stand a chance for interview or match?

what are your suggestions? what else can i do?

If you have the money, go for it, but I have never heard of anyone getting an interview without a step 1 score. November would be too late in general but again, if you have the money for this year and next year in case you don't match, might as well apply.

There are some thing you can get away with not having when you initially start applying to programs. It is highly discouraged to start applying without your Step 1, even with your other scores.

You will have to decide whether or not it is worth applying once you get your Step 1 score. By October, programs will have been going through tons of applications and starting to issue interviews. You do run the risk of losing out on the more competitive programs but you might make it with a slower program.

I'm afraid this one is up to you, but your chances will not be good without the Step 1.
