Default Possibility of matching in the future

Hello!
It is quite soon that I start medical studies in my home country, Poland. Due to the fact that my country has very little to offer to its doctors, emigration remains in minds of nearly a half of my classmates.
Having no doctors in my family, especially no one abroad, Internet remains the only source of information about my plausible career paths. Some of the voices there say FMG will no longer be desired by the US employers. Other seem to be of contrary opinion.
Generally, I do not wish to leave Europe, but I'm utterly aware that I could change my mind in the years to come. Nonetheless I like to know what kind of ground I stand on.
My question is: will, in you opinion certainly, the United States medical job market have been cleared out of 'brain drain' need by... let's say... 2023?

In the year 2023 the chances of matching as an IMG will be very slim. The US is attempting to have a 1:1 ratio of US grads: residency spots by 2019. This may be debatable but in reality the US is actively attempting to phase out IMGs so each year that you wait to apply the chances of succesfully matching without extremly stellar step scores becomes more remote. There are other options outside of the US such as new zealand, australia, canada and even great britain (if you wish to remain in europe). In my opinion if you wish to practice in the US I would begin working on it as soon as possible and try to match in the near future. I hope that answers your question.

I do not wish to be rude...but you are replying to someone who is just starting medical studies. And " in the year 2023 chances of matching as an IMG will be very slim" is a pretty bold and categorical statement, for someone who does not corroborate it with anything, except hearsay. Penguin- do your best during your studies and try to learn as much as possible. In that way opportunities will open for you, both in Poland and in the USA too. From what I have seen, stats for IMGs matching have been quite consistent these last years, so if that trend continues, drastic changes should not be expected.
