Default LOR from surgeon for IM

Hi guys.
Have a dilemma. Applying to IM. Got 2 LORs from US IM doctors. The 3rd one is from US general surgeon talking about how well my performance was during my IM observership, as he organized my observership and was my supervisor from the hospital. This letter is very IM specific. I'm a bit confused only because it's from surgeon. How relevant this LOR will be? Should I still attach it to my app or remove from my list of letters?

Actually, a specialty specific LoR from one specialty praising your skills in another specialty is one of the strongest LoRs you can have. The fact someone from another part of the medical world (the surgeon) recognizes your talents in IM is a strong testament to your abilities. It shows how clear your passion for IM is.

Absolutely use this letter for IM!
