What is your Step 1 score? Do you have a strong overall application with your supporting documents ready to go?

Unfortunately, the decision of when to apply is primarily up to you. Without the CK score, there are many programs that will immediately filter you out. However, if you wait to apply later, you will lose out on the more competitive programs.

I suggest you first call some sample programs and see what they have to say about applicants without CK score. Then, make a list of the more competitive programs you are interested in to apply to in September. You can apply to the less competitive programs later but you might as well apply to programs you would miss out anyways,

Just make sure you have the rest of your application ready to go before applying to any programs.

I would also look into the Post Match/Soap to make sure you don't waste the year.

Virtually no chance of matching in SOAP for IMG's. A few every year do get a spot, but remember that's a few out of thousands. American schools have access to the SOAP list of available programs before everyone else and therefore make calls on their students behalf to get them a spot with their connections. Your best chance is the actual match but NO ONE can tell you what your chances are if you do not post scores/publications/visa/specialty/etc.
