Default Low Step Scorers gather here

To all my friends who have low scores or multiple attempts ,visa issues applying this year,lets gather here put our scores and specialty we are applying for ,lets make a team hurrah ...come all do not hesitate to put your scores here we discuss about our interviews or match that way we can give many hopes to all ...smile

Step 1=219
Step 2=217
Step 2 cs=pass
Us experience=1 month
LOR=1 here 1 from my university
YOG:2012
Applying in 120 programs all in IM

i am also in same boat.
My step1 -219
step2ck-245
cs-passed.
USCE-3 months, 3 LOR'S. , 1 from home country. need Visa.
applying in 120 IM program.

are in applying in program which says step score>220??

222, 234, cs pass all 1st attempt, 2010 grad, permanent resident
Applying to FM and IM
3 LORs from US doctors all PCP doctors,
I think we should share the list of less competitive programs

234/236/pass/2013 grad/216/3 us lors/need visa.
Which one to apply - IM categorical or prelim? Applied last year, got just 1 iv

1) Your scores aren't low (no one cares about step 3 scores unless it's a fail or your step 1 and 2 scores were a 192 and 209 respectively)
2) Apply categorical, prelim is more competitive

You only got one invite????? Your scores are pretty good good. Did you have any problems last year? Applied late, no LORs etc?

It was so frustrating tbh. that only iv was from bronx lebanon in Jan. I didnt had step 3 and had 2 US LOR's last year. Applying multiple specialities this year and thinking to apply IM prelim for atleast 50 odd programs. We'll see how it goes.

I doubt not having step 3 made much of a difference. It must have been not having 3 letters.

Partly that. But there has to be another red flag in the application for sure.
