Default i know it is impossible but should i even give it a try?

i'm IMG have US citizenship , 2006 graduate
passed step 1 (5th attempt) 198
passed ck (4th attempt) 213
passed cs (2nd attempt)
i have 2 publications as 2nd author one of them in international medical journal
1 year of clinical research experience
i have 3 years of USCE
strong 5 LORs and 3 of them are psychiatry
all what i'm looking for is psychiatry
few connections
honest advise please

No harm trying.. at most you may lose money for applications.

But I would suggest keep working or researching in a place you want to match,
you may get in through personal recommendations,
as they would witness your work first hand,
and would not judge you on your scores and attempts.

Connections is everything.
but need to give these connections a good reason to help you out.

I think you better find a potential place that you have a chance to match, and start working/research/volunteer there till you get enough connections to match

My simple understanding is that Psych programs look for candidates truly interested in Psychiatry ( Psych experience and LORs from Psychiatrists) . Not as a backup plan for other specialties.

You need to research programs that don't have a problem with multiple attempts, Have a Plan B which I believe you have in mind. and again connections from what I hear make lots of magic.
