The most common reason of IMG rejection is the number of psychiatry hours in the medical curriculum is not enough for 80 hours of psychiatry rotations. My medical school curriculum does not meet this requirement. Does anyone know where to apply for a certified psychiatry clerkship here in the US in order to get it through. Should I call the Medical Board of California and ask them what to do? Thanks.
Hey r u sure it is 80 hrs... I think it is 128 hrs. Not as low ad 80. They surely need 4 weeks of psy. They will issue a deficiency letter and give u a list of hospitals to do ur rotation....only then u can do it ...
Or else go to ur home school and complete it,
I think externship in pvt clinic thru the paid companies should work but I m not sure ...un have to ask ca board
