Computer LoR Scanned Image File Too Large!

Hi,
I had sent request to one of my medical school professor to send my LOR electronically. He is saying that it is not being uploaded.
The instructions are that LOR should be on Official letter head and that has to be scanned and uploaded. He says the file size comes out too large after scanning and it is not being uploaded. He says he has tried to cut down on content of letter but that too is not working.
Please guide.
Thanks in anticipation

He has to change the scanning parameters to lower resolutions, ask him to contact the IT professionals in his institution to decrease the scanning resolution settings.
