Need a visa? What specialties? I'm not going to lie, it's going to be very tough to match. Most places will filter you out so it's up to you to make connections through observership/externship/research/conferences. Step 2 will have to be average at worst (minimum 240) to show drastic improvement and that the first step was an anomaly.

Please know that you will be limited to primary care fields (FM/IM/Psych/Peds). If you want to match into anything remotely competitive, you will need some strong connections, otherwise it might be best to find an opportunity in your home country.

It's going to be very hard, I am not going to lie. I know people with 230s in both step 1 and CK, who only got 2 to 3 interviews in peds. Score well in CK (250s), and also try to take step 3 and get a good score. Try to get USCE and make connections with PDs and get good LORs. It's going to be a bumpy road. Good luck!
