Hi,

The MSPE is the medical school performance evaluation letter which you can request in the office of your medical school. There is a format in which the MSPE needs to be in and this format is available on the ECFMG website.

The MSPE is important for AMGs. For FMGs it is just to make your application looks complete. Don't worry about the format, it can look as any LORs with some details as shown in the MSPE section in my website. The MSPE is also called Dean's letter in other countries medical schools and both are equally accepted by ECFMG for IMGs.

Dean's letter is not meant for recommending you for electives or residencies rather than a performance evaluation during your medical school. It is better to get a new one without that recommendation section if possible.

Default regarding mspe

even i have a question.

do we send the mspe after the college has given it to us.?or does the college send it directly to ERAS?
should it be sealed by the college or not?

I am worried if my college makes any errors while sending it directly to ERAS.If i at least take a look at it I can get it corrected

It doesn't need to be in sealed envelope but the Institution seal/stamp should be on the letter. It is better to get it to your hand and keep it with you untill the application time starts around June-July and send it together with the other documents.
