Help Delayed CS report impact on match chances

I had a few questions. The CS grade reporting will be delayed this year so anyone taking the new CS will have their grade reported in late October.

Will this negatively affect residency interview chances since so many other applicants who took the old CS will have on time CS scores?

I am an US citizen IMG I have my step 1 (233), I am planning to take step 2 CK and CS by July-August. I am not sure if that will happen since I have some health related issues I also have to deal with. I also don't have any USCE or US LoRs. Should I apply this year (2012) or try to apply next year (2013) with a stronger application. I don't want to risk becoming a repeat applicant.

ERAS will start late this year, this means that if you get your all 3 steps results by mid to late October 2012 then you should be fine.

I don't advise you to apply without LoRs or USCE. If you can get these on board by October then apply if not then aim for 2013-2014 matching season.

I had another question if I apply this year (2012) it will be 2.5 years since I graduated med school, but if I apply next year (2013) it will be 3.5 years. Does this have a big impact on match chances.

I am not sure it i can complete all of step 2, get USCE and LoRs and complete all the applications on time, but i will try.

Choice A: 2.5 years after graduation, no USCE, no LoR
Choice B: 3.5 years after graduation, USCE and LoRs

I choose choice B (Residency program directors would also pick B I guess).
