Default EM residency

Hello I recently took my step 1 and got a 232, I would like to get into an Emergency Medicine residency. Does anyone know if a 232 is too low to get into an EM residency. Thanks

Yeah FM and IM. IM was not so nice to me either. Just to clarify I have 4 interviews from EM, but they're all from places I rotated at, which I have no idea how competitive it is. My advice is to rotate at places where there isn't an influx of IMGs rotating so you can stand out.

score higher on the CK and focus ur resume towards EM by doing EM rotations and externships in teaching hospitals. you will realize nothing is impossible in america if you are hardworking and dedicated. most countries EM is very different than here. so your rotations will carry a lot of weight when you do multiple of them
